Recycling cans Old aluminium cans (not steel cans like baked bean cans) and foil - like cooking foil and clean foil trays from ready-cooked meals and
take-aways - can be recycled. If you live in West Sussex or surrounding counties of the UK we hope that we can enlist you as a CAN~CAN member. What we
would then like is for you to enlist the aid of others, such as neighbours, children at school, young people that belong to organisations like the Scouts, Cubs or Guides, Youth Clubs, Sports Clubs, Social
Clubs and the like. Retired people with time on their hands and the will to help, would be an asset and we would encourage this connection with vigour.The collection of cans and foil could be arranged.
However we are hoping to encourage members to become collection agents and bring cans to our centre, this will in itself save us a considerable amount of money. Our volunteers use two special machines at
our centre to crush the cans so they can be stored and transported more economically. Please call us if you can collect cans and foil - especially if you can collect regularly from your place of work,
social club, school, college etc. We can help explain what should be and should not be included. Thank you for your help - call or e-mail to arrange transportation or discuss your scheme.
